Christophe Midler, 58 years old, Phd, is Research Director at the Polytechnique Management Research Center and Innovation Management Chair Professor at Ecole Polytechnique.

His research topics are innovation strategy, open innovation, international deployment of innovation capabilities, project and R&D management, in relation with organisational learning and design theory. He has explored these topics in various industrial contexts: automotive, construction, electronics, chemistry, pharmaceutics sectors. His favourite methodology is long-term interactive researches, which he has extensively experienced within automotive industry.
He is member since 1980 of the Gerpisa network (International Research Group on Automotive Industry), cofounder in 1994 of International Research Network on Organizing by Projects (1RNOP), French correspondant of International Motor Vehicule Program.
He is former Vice President of Euram (European Academy of Management) Strategic interest Group on Project Organizing.
He is on the reviewing board of International Journal of Project Management and International Journal on Automotive Technology and Management and peer reviewer for many journals, as Organization Science, Scandinavian Management Journal, Revue Française de Gestion, Gérer et Comprendre, ...
