My research project
How do platform leaders manage to shape industries and industrial boundaries? “Can this Convergence myth resist the Digital Home realities?”
Technologies, technological convergence, and particularly Internet, are progressively shaping the existing industrial boundaries thus creating new industries and markets. One of these emerging markets is the Digital Home.
Because of these massive market potential revenues, the main technology leaders are elaborating smart strategies, and coming with new offers in order to influence for their own good the industrial boundary moves. By choreographing this industry ballet these key players are orienting the actor networks and consequently positioning themselves for the quest of technological leadership that should represent the solid signs of future economic gains and growth opportunity. Our research is focused on these industries flows that are stirred by technology and especially by the way the few, but powerful platform leaders are trying to outline the Digital Home market.
With 15 years of professional experience in the information and network technology industries, I have worked for multinational firms like Intel Corp, Alcatel or 3 Com Corp, with senior management responsibility in development or implementation of corporate strategies, products, projects or strategic partnerships, on a global and European basis, in a hypercompetitive and fast changing environment.
